Kebenei, Lalang and Jordan Join ADP


The American Distance Project welcomes Stanley Kebenei (Nike), Lawi Lalang (Nike) and Michael Jordan. Kebenei, an All-American at the University of Arkansas, posted the fourth fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase for Americans in 2016 with his personal best of 8:18.52, and finished 13th in the 2016 US Olympic Trials. He was the 2015 US 15k national champion and has personal bests of 3:42.88 for 1500m, 7:49.74 for 3,000m, 13:42.15 for 5,000m and 29:33.58 for 10,000m. In 2014 and 2015, Kebenei was the NCAA runner-up in the steeple, as well. He currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserves. Lawi Lalang was an eight-time collegiate national champion for the University of Arizona winning the 2011 NCAA cross country title; the 2013 and 2014 NCAA 5,000m titles; the 2013 10,000m title; the 2012 NCAA Indoor 3,000m; and 5,000m titles and the 2013 NCAA Indoor Mile and 3,000m titles. Lalang holds personal bests of 3:33.20 for 1500m, 3:52.88 for the Mile, 7:36.44 for 3,000m, 13:00.95 for 5,000m, and 28:14.63 for 10,000m. Michael Jordan is a graduate of Southern Indiana University where he earned five NCAA DII All-American awards including a sixth-place and a third-place finish in the NCAA DII 3,000-meter steeplechase in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

Jordan joins the ADP after a one year stint with the New Jersey-New York Track Club where he qualified for the US Olympic Trials steeplechase with a personal best of 8:35.47. His personal bests include 8:08.21 for 3,000m and 14:17.41 for 5,000m.
