Gray Makes 19th Team USA; Tessema 4:01 For Mile

(Colorado Springs, CO) Joe Gray finished 3rd at the US Mountain Running Championships held in Bend, OR, this weekend to qualify for his 19th US national team, while Josef Tessema posted a six-second personal best in the Mile, barely missing the 4:00-barrier.

Gray, who was the two-time US defending champion, finished 3rd to qualify for Team USA for the World Mountain Running Championships to be held in Snowdonia, North Wales September 19. Gray picked up $625 for 3rd, and $1,000 for winning the Collegiate Running Association division. Full results are at: http://www.webscorer.com/racedetails?raceid=47610

Josef Tessema, in his first race in two years, finished 4th at the Ryan Shay Mile in Charlevoix, MI, improving his best by by six seconds to finish in 4:01.74, approaching the 4:00-mark.
