Rainsberger Wins Nike Cross Nationals

(Portland, OR) Katie Rainsberger (Air Academy) brought home her first national title Saturday after she commandingly distanced herself from a field of 26 state champions over the last mile to win the Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, OR.

Rainsberger took the lead 11:00 into the race and never looked back, finishing with a decisive 14-second margin in a course record of 16:56.8 on the rolling muddy 5,000-meter course in cold rainy conditions.
