Bor Posts World Steeple Lead, Kipchirchir US 5k Lead

Hillary Bor (US Army) opened up his 2017 steeplechase season with a resounding win at USA Track & Fields High Performance Distance Classic08 at Occidental College in Los Angles. Bor's time of 8:23.08 is the fastest in the US and in the World for 2017 and his fastest opening mark in his career. Bor's Army teammate Haron Lagat secured his qualifier for the US Championships with his time of 8:36.46.

In the 5,000-meters, Shadrack Kipchirchir and training mate Biya Simbassa (ADP) made it a

two-man race with Kipchirchir taking the win in a US outdoor lead of 13:23.74c to Simbassa's 13:25.79.
